POSITION PURPOSE
The Quality Assurance Auditor reports to the Chief Inspector. This position is responsible for the support of the Quality Assurance Department through the performance of assigned duties and projects required to ensure regulatory compliance of all work conducted by AHS maintenance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly exposed to office noises (i.e., office machines, conversations, foot traffic). Also, may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Full-time, non-exempt. Monday – Friday 7:30 – 4:00pm (schedule may vary). In office position. Must be available for OT on an as needed basis.
TRAVEL
This position may require occasional travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Perform base audits of processes and practices to include safety, manuals, aircraft records and work order documentation, and parts.
- Facilitate the development of field services technical records best practices
- Perform vendor audits to verify safe practices, DOT drug program compliance, proper certification, and processes.
- Perform annual aircraft audits to include status report accuracy and verification that the historical data records track all the maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations performed on the aircraft in accordance with applicable FARs and Advanced Helicopters procedures.
- Perform audits of closed work orders to ensure that all inspections and maintenance are properly performed. Verify that all completed work had the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station and were properly executed for aircraft return to service.
- Perform audits of maintenance tracking software for accuracy and currency
- Perform audits of Engine Services Department as required by SHE contract.
- Assist the QC department when needed to verify work conducted by contractors is in accordance with FAA requirements and Advanced Helicopters policies and procedures.
- Serve as project leader/facilitator on selected Advanced Helicopters initiatives
- Assist in the training requirements of the QA and Technical Staff
- Other duties may be assigned by the Chief Inspector.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical records/research/auditor experience
- Minimum 2 to 4 years related experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and various software programs as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be familiar with FARs, standard concepts, practices and procedures within the aviation industry
- Commercial aviation industry and systems knowledge strongly preferred
