INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE
Create raving fans internally and externally. Responsible for maintaining AHS’s inventory (parts, consumables, tooling) and adherence to FAA requirements for traceability, quality and record keeping. Primary responsibilities for the Inventory Clerk include inventory management, receiving, delivering parts to work/sales orders, and assisting with shipping. The Inventory Clerk is also responsible for assisting with the HAZMAT program. Reports to the Logistics Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly exposed to office noises (i.e., office machines, conversations, foot traffic). Also may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to bend, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Full-time, non-exempt. Typical hours are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm with occasional overtime when necessary.

- Maintaining and tracking inventory according to FAA regulations. (FAR 45)
- Inventory cycle counting: performing tier 1 (bi-annual), tier 2 (monthly), and tier 3 (weekly).
- Monitoring pick tickets – quickly delivering inventory items for work orders (shop floor) and outside sales. Preparing required documents for shipping.
- Maintaining min/max inventory stock levels for parts and consumables.
- Keeping the inventory organized by segregating inventory, customer property and work order-related parts.
- Resolving inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Assisting with tool management and annual calibrations for LUH and commercial tooling.
- Producing expiration report and purge - track and monitor expiring consumable items – monthly.
- Receiving freight, including, but not limited to parts and consumables, into inventory and sorting and delivering to the designated location.
- Shipping packages via ups, DHL and FedEx (international & domestic) and LTL freight with Estes, DHL and UPS.
- Hazmat chemical and waste management: procuring, storing, transferring, disposing and spill cleaning up when necessary.
- Maintain adequate levels of consumables stocked on the shop floor and flame cabinets.
- Responsible to help manage the HAZMAT chemical storage, transfer of waste oil and jet fuel, management of HAZMAT waste and SDS sheet updates.
- Moving/loading pallets and large crates using a forklift
- Inventory and organization of hazmat consumables on the shop floor to assure hazmat compliance management – weekly
- Ensuring fire code compliance by conducting monthly fire extinguisher audit and sign-offs
- SDS archive updates.
- Facilities-related duties – cleaning, organizing, moving/building office furniture, etc.
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Internet.
- Clean & valid CA driver's license.
- Must be able to submit to and pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two or more years’ experience in inventory, shipping and/or receiving will be given preference.
- Previous forklift operator experience.
- Knowledge of HAZMAT management.
