Position Purpose
Responsible for performing strain gauge on Airbus models, and inspections, maintenance, and repair of Safran Helicopter Engines in a Level 3 Certified Maintenance Center, and in the field at customer locations as needed. This position reports directly to the Director of Engine Services.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The work environment is often not temperature/humidity controlled. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Full-time, non-exempt. Must be available, as needed, evenings and weekends for overtime. Onsite or field work position.

This position may require occasional travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.

- Responsible for ensuring manufacturer instructions and company processes are followed.
- Maintains records in compliance with FAA and company requirements.
- Ensures deadlines are met, while effectively communicating circumstances preventing such to management.
- Maintains premises of the shop facility in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintains equipment, tools and facilities in serviceable and working condition.
- Provides feedback for process improvement.
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Accepts mentorship and coaching from Level II, III, and IV technicians and maintenance managers.
- Actively participates in and documents continuous on-the-job training.

Required Qualifications
- A&P Certificate under 14 CFR § 65.81, 65.85, 65.87, or 65.103 or has obtained a completed / signed FAA From 8610-2 (or equivalent).
- Minimum at least 18 months of pertinent, verifiable, practical experience.
- Clean & valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible for DOD clearance.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA regulated drug test prior to start.
- Post-employment will be enrolled in our Safety Sensitive Drug and Alcohol Program.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding and experience within a Part 145 repair station.
- Previous experience with Safran or Turbomeca helicopter engines.
- Strain gauge experience.
- Model types preferred: Safran Arriel 1, Safran Arriel 2, and Safran Arrius 2.
