Position Purpose
The Recruiting and Outreach Specialist will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and engaging top talent while building strong relationships within the industry. This role will focus on both recruitment strategies and outreach initiatives to enhance the organization’s presence, support our Apprentice Program, foster partnerships, and create a pipeline of qualified candidates. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly exposed to office noises (i.e., office machines, conversations, foot traffic). Also, may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Onsite or remote, full-time, exempt. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for outreach events.
Regular travel is required to attend civilian and miliary job fairs, community events, and meetings with local partners.

- Develops and implements recruiting strategies to attract diverse talent across various channels.
- Sources, screens, and interviews potential candidates to ensure a strong cultural and skill fit.
- Builds and maintains a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Partners with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and create job descriptions.
- Coordinates, participates, travels and presents at civilian and military job fairs, career events, high schools and middle schools introducing youth to aviation and other recruiting activities.
- Manages the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to job offer.
- Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations, schools, colleges, and local businesses.
- Assists transitioning Veterans with military to civilian licensing paperwork and testing.
- Collaborates with internal teams to create outreach programs that align with company goals.
- Monitors and reports on outreach activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Enhances the organization’s employer brand through targeted communication strategies.
- Maintains a strong presence on social media platforms to attract and engage potential candidates.
- Maintains accurate records of outreach activities and candidate interactions. Stays informed about labor market trends.
- Assists Training Program Manager with tracking training for the Apprenticeship Program and ongoing company ongoing training.
- Provides regular reports to management on recruitment and outreach performance.
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting, community outreach, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), social media platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
- Confident giving presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aviation industry experience.
