Position Purpose
The Inventory Control Specialist II is responsible for maintaining AHS’s inventory (parts, consumables, tooling) and adherence to FAA requirements for traceability, quality and record keeping. Primary responsibilities for the Inventory Control Specialist II include inventory management, receiving, delivering parts to work/sales orders, and assisting with shipping. Reports directly to the Logistics Manager.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly exposed to office noises (i.e., office machines, conversations, foot traffic). Also, may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and
arms. The employee is occasionally required to bend, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this
job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time, non-exempt. This position reports to the worksite daily. Occasional overtime and weekend availability for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) after support.

- Maintains and tracks inventory according to FAA regulations. (FAR Part 145)
- Inventory cycle counting: performing tier 1 (bi-annual), tier 2 (monthly), and tier 3 (weekly).
- Monitoring pick tickets – quickly delivering inventory items for work orders (shop floor) and outside sales. Preparing required documents for shipping.
- Keeps inventory organized by segregating, customer property, work orders, and sales order related parts.
- Resolving inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Ensures expired inventory and expired consumables are pulled and quarantined monthly
- Receiving freight and incoming packages, including, but not limited to parts and consumables, into inventory and sorting and delivering to the designated location.
- Hazmat chemical and waste management: storing, transferring, disposing and spill cleanup when necessary.
- Loading and moving pallets and large crates using a forklift.
- Consumable cabinet inventory control – restock centralized consumable and flammable cabinets (min/max inventory levels).
- Assists in inventory management tasks, including stock reconciliation / reporting and management of inventory discrepancies.
- Accurately input a high volume of information into the computer concerning incoming and outgoing merchandise in a timely manner.
- Checks and records the quantity of the merchandise for conformity to purchase orders and specifications, Records and reports shortages and discrepancies
- Works closely with Logistics Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the inventory control Department
- Cross trains and performs receiving, stocking, organizing, cycle counting, pulling orders, order fulfillment and delivering parts as required.
- Performs the procurement for stock, consumable and shipping inventory.
- Prioritizes and organizes AOG receiving and updating of the AOG status report.
- Acts as primary backup for the customer service role as needed.
- Prepares hazardous material shipping packets at time of receiving.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications
- Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

- Understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Forklift certification within 6 months of hire.
- Can do attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Clean & valid CA driver's license.
- Must be able to submit to and pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualification
- Min two years’ experience in inventory, shipping and/or receiving will be given preference.
- Shipping and receiving experience
- Previous forklift operator experience.
- Knowledge of HAZMAT management.
